Artist Bio

Colorado based artist and educator, Madi Brusca creates work inspired by the joy of discovery and thrill of learning new techniques. She grew up in and around Denver, Colorado, taking interest in art, music, and theater from a young age. This lifelong pursuit of creativity has led her to study Art K-12 Education, which she is currently getting a degree in at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. At this point of her degree, she is preparing to student teach in the Fall of 2026.

Madi’s creations range between 2D and 3D media, focusing mostly on painting, ceramics, sculpture, and mixed media. Through this variety of media, Madi depicts curious figures and forms, invented creatures and surreal scenes. Her chosen imagery balances the playful and the contemplative, and carries evidence of an attempt to explore rather than perform.

Madi’s work has been featured in the Fort Lewis College senior art shows “Adding To The Conversation” and “So Watcha Think?” in Fall ‘25 and Spring ‘26 respectively, as well as the student-led art magazine IMAGES in the Fall ‘25 and Spring ‘26 edition. Her work was also featured in the 65th Annual Juried Show at Fort Lewis College, and at the Mancos Early Learning Center’s “Little Visions, Big Creations” fundraiser show in Spring 2026.
